What factors affect my arm or elbow injury claim

There are a number of factors that affect the amount of compensation that can be paid out for an arm injury.

  • Your age at the time of the accident. Younger people with longer to live typically receive larger compensation awards for injuries sustained to their arm or elbow
  • The severity of the  arm or elbow injury. Minor cuts and bruises to the arm will receive lower compensation amounts compared with broken bones or amputation
  • The length of time taken to recover from the accident.
  • Personal Injuries that resolve themselves within weeks will receive less compensation than those that take several years  or those that  leave the victim with permanent symptoms.
  • Whether the arm injury caused a level of disability or severe lack of mobility. Some personal injuries can result in  a permanent level of disability
