Berwin Leighton Paisner lay off 85 staff
City firm Berwin Leighton Paisner has completed it redundancy consultation and has elected to lay off 85 staff members with more than half that number compulsory redundancies.
The redundancies will largely come from the firm's real estate, finance and corporate practices but will also affect a number of support staff working in marketing, HR and IT. This news comes only a week after a similar announcement from White and Case of 95 redundancies at the firm's London offices. Many of the city's firms have been forced to make similar cuts with only a few major firms, including Slaughter and May, yet to announce redundancies.
